Certainly everyone has had something from Weinhard's at some point. Their mainstream Weinhard's Red is a popular beer because it's decent and cheap, and very non-threatening. It doesn't attack you with hops, but goes down easily and pleasantly.
We don't really like beers like that. We prefer our beers to have flavor. It's like eating a steak that doesn't taste like steak, but tastes like chicken. To be fair, some of their less available beers, like their stout, are ok. But Weinhard's is just not in the same class with other true microbreweries.
